philip came all the way from france to take his son paul fishing. well it was non stop fishing and both men were exhausted. philip said he has never seen anything like it. the BASS were chaseing sand eels and it was a slaughter !

mike started the day with the first bass in the low 20\'s. fishing was non stop for much of the trip and limiting out was easy. peter was high hook and slamed his personal best of 29 lbs. GREAT JOB GUYS !

it was a beatuiful afternoon and the Fluke were bitting pretty well. fish were plenty but max
seemed to have the hot hand and a nice 5lbr to put in the box.

the filone party finally got in on some of the big bass that moved in last week while i
was tuna fishing. the big fish were caught on live bait in the am. the pm bite
was slow as the weather got a bit rougher. some fish were caught on the jig .

the bishoff came all the way from nj. they were rewarded with their limit of fluke.
fluke to 5lbs as well as a 4lb seabass. porgies are plentyfull !!!!

news of tuna have been reported in the canyon...
i made several callls and all i could muster up was my trusty mate
Doug Reichart.
we steamed to w.atlantis, there we found yollow fin tuna, mahi, and marlin.
several boats were there and all were catching fish.
we ended up with 3 yellows, several mahi, and asmall blue marlin about 150 lbs.
we had a great day !

news around the dock is that there have been Bluefin tuna caught.
the butterfish hole has been the location and its been an early morning bite only !
also sharks are all over and its been tough to keep your baits in the water !!!!

the afternoon bite was right on from the start !
tom and derrick were worn out from tons of stripers caught.
they called the trip KILLER and wanted to return just a bit earlier .

1/2 day afternoon party,
sal malfitano and crew continued catching stripers just as well as the earlier am bite.
same size but many fish were caught. the lack of blues created mixed feelings.
this is a continued debate but i am glad on a bass trip that they are not showing !

the allington party enjoyed a very good morning bite with stripers.
bass were not very big but many keepers, limiting out was easy
and there werent many blues around !

the shalit party was a real party, it was a 10th birthday for Cori.
it was a great day of fishing and family fun and im glad i was able to
make a little girls birthday memorable .
